Every piece I make starts with an idea. If you have one, let’s talk. What I make I take a limited number of custom orders for wheel-thrown, hand-sculpted mugs and ceramic pieces. Whether you have something specific in mind or just a feeling, I’m happy to work with you to figure out what that looks like in clay. About Liz — Artist Bio
Hi, I'm Liz Collins — a ceramic artist based in Washington DC. I live and work between my home studio in DC and my pottery shed in Alexandria, making every piece by hand on the wheel. How I got here I grew up the daughter of a professional artist, though my early years were defined more by athletics than art. It wasn't until my last semester of college that I took a ceramics class and quickly fell in love with wheel throwing — the technique, the muscle memory, the flow state.
