Every piece I make starts with an idea. If you have one, let’s talk.
What I make
I take a limited number of custom orders for wheel-thrown, hand-sculpted mugs and ceramic pieces. Whether you have something specific in mind or just a feeling, I’m happy to work with you to figure out what that looks like in clay.
Past custom work has included pet portrait mugs, face mugs in specific glaze colorways, and pieces made as gifts for weddings, birthdays, and memorials. If you’re not sure whether your idea is something I can make, just ask.
How it works
Reach out first. Send me a note at liz@lizcollinspottery.com with a description of what you have in mind — the more detail the better. Include any reference photos if you have them.
We’ll talk it through. I’ll follow up to discuss the piece, confirm the details, and answer any questions.
Place your order. Once we’ve agreed on everything, you’ll receive a link to complete your purchase.
I get to work. Each piece is made by hand from scratch. I’ll keep you updated as it comes along.
It ships to you. You’ll receive a tracking number as soon as it’s on its way.
Timeline
Custom pieces take up to 2 months from the time your order is placed to the time it ships. I work on a small number of commissions at a time so each one gets the attention it deserves. If you have a specific date in mind — a birthday, holiday, or event — reach out early and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
